Top lighting
A light from above such as sun light.

Front Lighting
Lighting that emanates either from behind the camera or from the camera itself.

Side Lighting
A light striking the subject from the side relative to the position of the camera.

Back Lighting
This helps separate the subject from the background. This is a very intense light.
